NZWEA Summit Call for Papers

As we continue to grow wind energy to help meet the target of doubling renewable energy delivered by 2050, the wind sector has a major role to play by building an additional 6.5 GW of wind energy capacity over the next 25 years.

Energy security is a key theme that the Government and the whole electricity industry is leaning into, but we must achieve this objective in a way that also meets our decarbonisation goals. We must also compete in a globally competitive world where supply chains are becoming constrained as most countries progress their energy transition.

This year’s event will therefore focus on market reform, competition, supply chain, technical & commercial excellence, construction & logistics and health & safety.

The summit will be held at Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa, in Wellington from the 27-28 August, and Samantha Hayes our MC.
The summit will start with a welcome reception on 26th August at 6pm at the New Zealand Parliament Buildings, and will conclude on 28th of August at 4pm.

We therefore invite abstracts from all NZWEA members covering the following categories for both onshore and offshore wind:
