Wind Prospects’ proposed Slopedown Wind Farm is located in Southland, 15 kilometres east of Wyndham and 26 kilometres southeast of Gore. At this stage the proposed wind farm could have up to 50 two to three megawatt turbines, with a total capacity of 150 megawatts.
Wind Prospect is developing the proposal and has commissioned studies into the effects of the proposed wind farm. It expects to lodge an application for resource consent in 2009.
