A 6.8MW wind farm with 8 turbines near Bluff is being proposed.
The site on the south coast of South Island would contain 8 turbines and supply the local electricity grid when built. It could potentially lower local electricity prices for consumers. Turbines are likely to be 81m high and have a 55m rotor diameter.
The project has has received Invercargill City Council resource consent, which is currently being appealed.
