You can join the New Zealand Wind Energy Association as a corporate, associate or individual member.
Corporate membership
Corporate membership is for organisations that:
- have a significant commercial interest in the wind energy sector
- want to take a leading role in developing the sector in New Zealand.
Corporate members play an active role in setting the policy and direction of NZWEA by participating on the Board and having regular contact with our CEO and staff.
As a corporate member, your organisation will be entitled to:
- direct involvement in setting NZWEA’s agenda
- free acknowledgement in our publications and at seminars, conferences and public functions
- first right of refusal to sponsor, upon terms specified by the Board, NZWEA publications, seminars, conference and functions (additional details available on request)
- 30 votes, either in person or by proxy, at our AGM
- a fortnightly e-mail newsletter covering planning, policy, financing, national and global trends and a host of other matters related to the wind energy sector
- access to the NZWEA’s members' website (unlimited number of accounts)
- discounts on events and publications.
Our corporate members include:
- electricity generators
- wind farm developers
- consulting firms
- turbine manufacturers
- lines companies.
Associate membership
Associate membership is ideal for those who want to monitor and be involved the development of the wind energy sector.
Specific benefits of associate membership include:
- a fortnightly e-mail newsletter covering planning, policy, financing, national and global trends and a host of other matters related to the wind energy sector
- access to the NZWEA's members' website (five accounts)
- discounts on events and publications
- 6 votes, either in person or by proxy, at our AGM.
Our associate members include:
- wind farm developers
- consulting firms
- researchers
- lawyers
- engineers
- government agencies and regional councils
- turbine manufacturers.
Individual membership
This category is for individuals who are interested in the wind energy sector but do NOT have a direct commercial interest it. (If you have a commercial interest then associate or corporate membership is more appropriate.)
Individual members are not, as a rule, seeking the level of information that is required by our corporate and associate members. Accordingly individual member entitlements are limited to having the right to:
- attend and vote at our AGM
- discounts on publications and events
- access to the NZWEA's members' website (one account)
- a fortnightly e-mail newsletter covering planning, policy, financing, national and global trends and a host of other matters related to the wind energy sector.
If, subsequent to joining NZWEA, you develop a commercial interest in wind energy, you may be asked to upgrade to an Associate or Corporate membership.
